First of all a very warm welcome to Mundo Oriental 2010 - welcome to Amira Shazadi!
Being the organiser of Mundo Oriental 2010 I am delighted to have you here on our event website! Here you will get all information about our coming event Mundo Oriental 2010 and the accompanying high level workshops!
What does 'Mundo Oriental' stand for? The portuguese expression 'Mundo Oriental' simply means 'World of the Orient'. And into this world of 1001 night we and our equipe of international guest stars will take you for some magic hours.
Compared to Mundo Oriental 2009, which had the shape of a dance theatre with a continuous storyline and that came along as an oriental trip around the world, this time we in invited some of the oriental top stars of the world to join us at Mundo Oriental 2010 taking place in Kempen and Duisburg, two West German cities next to Dusseldorf and Cologne!

With the new concept Mundo Oriental 2010 became an oriental dance festival with the international 'Crème de la Crème' of the oriental dance: intentionally not an anonymous mass event, but a manageable, exclusive event, covering a Gala Show, the Workshops, an Oriental Bazar, an exclusive Fashion Show with oriental dance fashion from Brazil as well as a Dance Contest. And this dance contest named 'Dance to Brazil' is a very special one: among other prizes the main winner will win the chance to perform at the Mercado Persa in São Paulo, Brazil, the hugest oriental dance festival of South America, flight and hotel included!
Mundo Oriental 2010 is the successor of our events Brazil Oriental in 2008 and Mundo Oriental in 2009. As the the capacity of the location we used until now was not sufficient any more for Mundo Oriental 2010 we had to change to another location. After checking different options we found the ideal place with the Rheinhausen Hall in Duisburg, a location according to the profile and size of the event: we will have a huge stage with all technical equipment, a huge lobby for the bazar and the hall is well accessible by car, plane (via Dusseldorf, Cologne or Weeze) or train (Duisburg). Do we need more?
I am very happy that we could manage with Mundo Oriental 2010 to bring even more international super stars to you: real world stars in oriental dance, big names that everyone knows well! First of all Amar Gamal from the United States and Lulu Sabongi from Brazil!
Great artists that will fascinate and inspire us. And that - in their high level workshops - will give us the chance to learn from them all the tips and tricks that made them so unique and famous around the world. The very special mixture of these stars with their different styles meeting at Mundo Oriental 2010 will guarantee us excitement and entertainment on high level. And you will notice: though Mundo Oriental 2010 has reached a remarkable size now we will still be able to reserve a private atmosphere with 'touchable' super stars and with time to maintain friendships and make new friends.
Already today I would like to thank everybody being part of Mundo Oriental 2010: the artists, my organisational team and - last not least: YOU!
I am looking forward to a grand display of 'oriental fireworks'! And to an interesting, exciting, touching, stimulating and inspiring Mundo Oriental 2010 and - anyway - a lot of fun!
